Premiership list of relseased players


Former internationals Jonathan Woodgate, Patrick Viera and Owen Hargreaves were some of the players that were released from their clubs, the premier league said on Thursday when they revealed a list of players given free transfers

The releases of Manchester Uniteds Hargreaves and Tottenham Hotspur's Woodgate were both widely expected after injuries blighted their spells with injuries. Hargreaves time at Old Trafford was cursed with injuries for the player and only made 39 appearances after joining a considerable fanfare from Bayern Munich for 17 million pounds in 2007

Ballack's Germany career over


Michael Ballack midfielder for Germany was informed by coach Joachim Loew on Thursday that he is no longer in the plans for Germany because of the impact of the younger players.

"After several conversations with Ballack it is now the time, before the start of the European championship to have a clear position".A great player on the pitch has however, not won a major trophy for Germany. Ballack, who won 98 caps and scored 42 goals since making his debut in 1999, has not played for the national side since march last year after sustaining an ankle injury that forced him to miss last year's world cup

Eto Interested in Premier League


The Inter Milan Samuel Eto said on Thursday he was considering a move from Inter Milan to the Premiership

"The premier League is an idea i have been thinking of for some time" Reports coming in from Italian media that Eto was saying in a televised interview in Cameroon."The question is deciding on the right club. Ive had offers from top teams but still have to see if I'd be able to integrate into the sides. Similar remarks have been coming from his teammates in Inter Milan such as Wesley Sneijder. Eto has still three years left on his contract with Inter Milan and said his choice would not be based on financial reasons

Cristiano Ronaldo Stays at Real Madrid


Rumors have been going round that Manchester City has set eyes on the Portuguese's striker C.Ronaldo and have wanted to set a huge contract. Ronaldo says he will not leave Real Madrid As he said in an interview "I am not going. I give you my word. Today i would sign ten more years with Real Madrid." Although he didn't completely rule out other optioins with the comments made "I could think differently tomorrow. No one knows the future of a player, he also left open the possibility of joining Barca. "Play for Barca? Never is a strong word." Last season Ronaldo set a Spanish League record with 40 goals for Madrid
